The Dream Roll

The Dream Roll

Logo, Branding

The Dream Roll is a women’s only motorcycle camping trip that takes place in the Pacific Northwest each year. The group was looking to add another logo to their arsenal to be used on merchandise such as t-shirts, bandannas, and patches. Working closely with the owners, I developed a winged-tire graphic that is simple yet detailed enough for embroidery purposes.

From Sketch to Final

Four compositions were created to decide which logo option to move forward with. The circle design was the most fitting for both t-shirts and patches and was approved by the client. The original sketch concept resembles much in common with the final design as most of the emphasis was on how the tire and wings would look. Once the main graphic was vectorized, the only choices left to make were on typography and color palette.

The black and white color logo options were needed for use on both white and black clothing items, such as t-shirts, vests, and hats. For color options, I included a standard red, white, and blue variation in honor of American motorcycle traditions as far back as Evel Knievel. Lastly, the red, white, and cream option was classic palette that lends itself nicely to embroidered patches.
